By accessing this website, submitting a quote request, booking an event, or participating in a Jest Murder Mystery Co. (“Jest,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) event, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
Jest Murder Mystery Co. provides live, interactive murder mystery entertainment performed by professional actors at private and public events. Jest provides entertainment services only and does not provide venue rental, catering, food, beverage service, security, staffing, or event coordination services unless explicitly stated in writing.
All quotes are estimates based on information provided at the time of inquiry, including but not limited to event date, location, guest count, and event type.
Quotes are not guaranteed until confirmed in writing.
Availability is not guaranteed until a signed booking agreement and required deposit are received and actors booked.
Changes to event details may result in pricing or availability adjustments.
In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and a signed booking agreement or invoice, the executed booking agreement shall govern.
A deposit is required to reserve an event date.
Payment schedules and terms will be outlined in your booking agreement or invoice.
Travel or lodging fees are included in the quoted price and contracted price.
Cancellation and rescheduling terms are defined in the applicable booking agreement.
In general:
Deposits may be non-refundable.
Rescheduling is subject to actor availability and may incur additional fees.
Late cancellations may result in forfeiture of payments made.
The event host is responsible for:
Providing a safe, appropriate performance space
Ensuring adequate lighting, seating, and room layout
Ensuring the venue permits interactive entertainment
Communicating Jest’s setup and performance requirements to the venue
Ensuring compliance with venue rules, local ordinances, and safety regulations
Jest does not own, operate, or control event venues and is not responsible for venue conditions, including but not limited to flooring, lighting, furniture placement, accessibility, or general safety.
Jest performances are interactive and designed to involve audience members in a fun, voluntary, and lighthearted manner.
Participation is always optional.
No guest will be forced to participate.
Jest reserves the right to adjust interaction levels to maintain a positive experience.
The host and/or venue are solely responsible for guest behavior, including conduct related to alcohol consumption.
Jest does not provide or control alcohol service.
Alcohol service, monitoring, and compliance with applicable laws are the responsibility of the host and/or venue.
Jest is not responsible for injuries, damages, or incidents arising from guest intoxication or alcohol consumption.
Performances may include humor, improvisation, and playful audience interaction.
By booking or attending an event, you acknowledge:
Content is intended solely for entertainment purposes.
Jest is not liable for offense taken by guests due guests improvised content.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Jest may capture photos or short video clips during events for non-commercial promotional purposes.
Jest will not publish identifiable images of private event guests without consent.
Media will not intentionally focus on individual guests without permission.
Guests may request exclusion where reasonably practicable.
No commercial reproduction is permitted without written permission.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Jest shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Jest is not responsible for injuries, losses, or damages occurring at the venue unless caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct by Jest.
Jest is not responsible for actions or omissions of the host, venue, guests, or third-party vendors.
Jest shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Severe weather
Performer illness or injury
Transportation failures or travel disruptions
Acts of God, government actions, or emergencies
In such cases, Jest will make commercially reasonable efforts to provide one of the following remedies, as appropriate:
Substitute performers of comparable experience and quality
Reschedule the event
Provide remedies as outlined in the booking agreement
The host agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Jest Murder Mystery Co., its performers, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:
Guest conduct
Venue conditions
Alcohol service
Host or venue negligence
Violations of applicable laws or venue policies
This indemnification applies only to matters outside of Jest’s direct control.
All website content, scripts, branding, and materials are the property of Jest Murder Mystery Co. and may not be reproduced or distributed without written permission.
