Event Room Setup
The way your room is set up will significantly impact the quality of your show. And when it comes to table arrangements, the closer the better. Too much space between the tables will make members of the audience feel insecure and will dampen their energy and laughter. So always place the tables as close as possible while still allowing room for servers and our actors to move about as needed. You’ll also need to leave a little space in the middle of your tables for our actors and your guests to use during the show. 10ft by 10ft is ideal. No larger, no smaller. You know, just enough room for a dead body! And remember to turn those lights all the way up! Dark rooms make audience want to talk in hushed tones and keep a low profile. We want your audience to be loud and fun so the more light, the better.
- Tables as close together as possible while still allowing servers and actors to move about freely
- A 10ft by 10ft open space in the middle of the tables.
- All lighting all the way up
- Food courses served between acts
- No table service, drink service or clearing during the acts of the show
- Actors will need a private place to change and store belongings during the show. This can not be a public restroom. Great places for entertainers to change are: storage closets, boiler rooms, the boss’ office, unrented banquet rooms, coat rooms, etc.
Give this to your venue contact or banquet staff
