George Doerr

George is a native St. Louis actor, comedian, magician, and father. He is having the time of his life working with Jest!

George performed with a local improvisation group for ten years before taking time off to focus on work and family. Inspired to step back into the world of show business by his oldest son George V, he went on to star as Miles Gloriosus in “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” (Family Musical Theater) , Richard Hoover in “Little Miss Sunshine” (Curtains Up),Sky Masterson in “Guys and Dolls” and Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland”(Monroe Actors Stage Company) earning an AFL nomination for both the performances, Frank N Furter in ” Rocky Horror Show” (Alfresco Theater) winning an AFL award for Best Lead Actor.

George cameoed in the movie “Proximity” directed by Dan Steadman and starring St. Louis Cardinal Adam Wainwright. He has also appeared in McDonalds’ Good Morning campaign commercials. However, nothing beats performing for the audiences of Jest Murder Mysteries.
